Elliston Caravan Park

Troy and Andrea Taylor, who both own and manage Elliston Caravan Park, will definitely welcome you to this unspoiled area on South Australias Eyre Peninsula.

The coast along Elliston is a fishers and divers paradise, offering a unique ambience for you to actively enjoy. You don't even need a boat, as you can catch plenty from the jetty or the beach, which is just 100 meters from the Park.

About Troy & Andrea ..........

Contrary to popular belief, Troy and Andrea are really nice people ! . A bit of tongue and cheek there, but that's what makes both Troy and Andrea a great couple to be with.

They easily mix the rigors and challenges of running a caravan park, with the joys of socialising and getting to know their clients and their client's needs.

Troy's knowledge of the waters in and around Elliston is second to none, ensuring some degree of consistency of fish catches to those who ask for his advice.

There are no guarantees in a good haul of fish. However, his knowledge of the locale and skill in boating and fishing definitely tips the scales in your favour in producing a good days excitement and a reasonable haul of fish.

Andrea on the other hand, diligently and efficiently manages a small task force, targeting the more domestic requirements of the Park. This can at times be an extremely arduous responsibility, given her current physical state in expecting, and having reached the waddling stage of her pregnancy ! .

Both Troy and Andrea take it as a personal challenge in trying to make your expectations in fishing and your stay at Elliston Caravan Park, a reality. Effectively, Elliston Caravan Park is a family business.

More importantly, one thing though to keep in mind when socialising and discussing the finer piscatorial points with Troy - he only drinks either Coopers Pale Ale or Bundy Rum !

The Park

Elliston Caravan Park's main strength and features comprise of numerous acres of grassed land, with well established and large trees strategically located to ideally offer a relaxed lifestyle to any avid camper, fisherman or family.

Whether you be towing a caravan, trailer, boat or driving a camper bus, the Park offers you the room and maneuverability to move and traverse in and out with ease. Lawned and shady areas offer the camper with a tent an ideal place to setup, whether it be out in the open, or under a tree.

The Park provides Camp Kitchen / Fish cleaning facilities, reasonably secluded away from the normal activities of the Park. It also has one of the largest selections of tackle available around the area, as well as an onsite industrial freezer, to freeze any bumper catch that you may bring in. The freezer is able to snap freeze any catch in 20 minutes.

Cabins

As is the norm with most large caravan parks, Elliston Caravan Park has onsite accommodation available to you, in the form of cabins, reasonably priced, offering as an alternative to caravanning or tenting.

The cabins are extremely spacious and self contained, offering your standard kitchen facilities, fridge, and comfortable beds with quality mattresses. All cabins include reverse cycle air conditioning, cutlery, crockery, saucepans, tea towels, and dishcloths. Linen hire is available from the office. Bedding and pillows are not included.

More information on their cabins can be viewed here.
