Yorke Peninsula - Submitted 29/10/2001 by Stephen Ward
Have I lost my touch? In the past month I have visited Stansbury twice, and Port Hughes once.

Stansbury was in the two weeks of the school holidays, with one trip in each week for a couple of days.

Net result was a paltry smattering of tommies, leather jackets and gar.

No whiting, and precious few bites on the bottom (pardon the expression) despite trying many patches.

Last weekend (27/10) tried Port Hughes. Admittedly it was a dodge, but 12w crabs, 4 gar, 2 leatheries and one whiting was nothing to crow about.

Have I lost my touch, or is it a particularly quiet / poor time of year?
