| South Grange
This particular ground is renown for producing good catches of whiting during the winter months. The ground is a deep sand and coral hole, about twenty metres wide. Chances are, you may need to use the echo sounder to find it. Best catches are produced when anchoring on the edge of the hole, and your bait/berley drifts back with the tide.
The summer months produce big squid, and the occasional snapper. As its not far from the shore, this site is ideal for small crafts launched from the beach. What makes this hole even more attractive is the fact that its not overrun by leatherjackets.
Good sized garfish, tommies and mackerel are also common in this area. |
