| Pt. Lincoln
Pt. Lincoln has always provided excellent fishing grounds, all of which happen to be in relatively safe, protected waters. As can be seen, there are many spots in which one can fish. Whiting , Trevally, Tommy Ruff, Garfish and Sweep are just some of the fish that can be caught, and medium sized Snapper run into the shallows just before dark.
A trick which the locals do when catching Snapper, is to berley the area in about 2 metres of water. Then they use fish fillets as bait on ganged hooks with no weight or sinkers, hurling the line out and letting the rig drift. When the Snapper are biting, you must strike quickly. |
