Hi there Tom,

Thanks for the response. I have, since my original message, purchased a digital camera so I can show you the knot that I was talking about in my original message, maybe they might help to identify the knot. The attached pictures (1, 2, 3, 3a, 4, 5 & 6) show the composition of the knot in sequence.

Please let me know your thoughts. I have found this knot very effective with both mono and braid. Picture 7 shows the same knot in an overlaid configuration which can be used with hooks that have a bent eye where the knot is tied on the shaft of the hood and makes it sit more naturally. Sorry about the crude materials, I don't have a shark hook handy to demonstrate on.

P.S. I leave in about 3 hours for a bit (8 & 1/2 days) of line wetting around the Whitsunday's, got my fingers crossed.

In answer to Graham's questions, the knot closely resembles components of a Snelled Knot. This knot is ideal when used against hooks with up-turned eyes. If anyone else has come across the above knot, please let me know.

Many thanks to Graham for his keen interest and submission.
