Buntline Hitch

Use the Buntline Hitch to fasten shackles, snaps and rings to rope.

Forms a small, neat and very reliable knot.

• Pass end of rope through shackle, then back up across standing part, forming a loop with the shackle at base of loop.
• Bring free end across tops of both parts of loop. Make a turn around standing part of loop, making sure free end exists between itself and the standing part of loop.
• Pull knot tight, down onto shackle.
